Both people and movies are different, which means that there’s no possible way to pick the best movie of all time without pissing off a certain group of people. The Godfather is simply brilliant, but so is The Shawshank Redemption. The Green Mile is a piece of art, and The Wolf of Wall Street is a hell of a movie as well. And that’s why we’re not going to rate movies here, but rather focus on provocative and interesting scenes that we often tend to repeat.
And just to be clear at the beginning of the list, emotional scenes are not the priority here. We’re only focusing on scenes that we want to repeat and pause out of curiosity. But we’ve just collected top 26 unforgettable scenes from popular movies that will make you click the pause button at one point.
Sleeping With Other People
Anytime you have Alison Brie on screen, there’s a good chance she’ll do something quirky or wild. In Sleeping With Other People, she gave viewers a provocative dance scene which they probably didn’t expect – and certainly didn’t complain about.
In the film, Brie plays the role of Lainey, a woman who reunites with Jake, an old college friend whom she had once been intimate with (played by Jason Sudeikis). The two try to keep things platonic while the sparks continue to fly like it’s the fourth of July – but their eventual coupling is pretty much inevitable. From Jake’s perspective, this dance scene certainly didn’t make things easier for him.
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Jennifer Jason Leigh plays Stacy Hamilton in the classic 1982 coming-of-age film, Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The film is about an inexperienced teenager who is prepared to experience the world of dating. She took the advice of her carefree best friend Linda Barret who was played by Phoebe Cates. She also ended up getting cornered in a love triangle.
